3 Easy Pieces of Custom Content You Can Have on Your Website Today

You’ve heard people talk about Search Engine Optimization on the web, but what is it and how can you take advantage of it?

The official definition of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the process of affecting the visibility of a website or a web page in a search engine's unpaid results - often referred to as "natural," "organic," or "earned" results. SEO in layman’s terms: A way to get your company’s website to show up on search engines like Google and Yahoo when potential customers search for a business like yours.

Get your website seen! What’s the point of having a website if no one is visiting or seeing it? Custom content is a great way to get your website bumped up in the SEO ranking. When you create unique content it can increase your chances of someone seeing your page after searching. The more original content that relates to your customer the better. Get potential buyers to your website and get the sale!

If you want to increase your chances of being seen organically, add these three easy pieces of custom content to your website.

  1. Staff Information or About Us: Adding a page that highlights your staff could increase the likelihood of someone seeing your website. Be sure to use keywords that relate to your type of business. For example, ask each employee what their favorite car is and why they love working for XYZ dealership. Think about the words that someone would put into a Google search. Include those words in your copy.

  1. News Coverage: Has your dealership earned any awards or been talked about in the news? Why aren’t you talking about this? You should be. Create content that not only focuses on these acknowledgements, but also links out to the news publications that covered them. This will also help your SEO ranking.

  1. What’s Happening: Tap into the local events happening in your area. Mention those events on your website, even if you’re not a direct sponsor. Talk about upcoming holidays and specials associated with those dates. If someone conducts a search for these particular events, they could end up on your website and that’s exactly where you want them to be!

Custom content doesn’t have to be difficult. You can increase your SEO rating simply by customizing content to your website. Remember that there are key terms that can be inserted into the copy to increase the likelihood of being seen. Remember to keep it fresh and study the words that are on your site.
